I agree with your 'ignore' advice but sometimes, its every other reply or comment and then its just too much to ignore. I think people 'leave' because it becomes tedious in the end, when its not fun people stop doing it, could be a sports team you play for, when it crosses a certain point sub conciously you go 'ahhh fuck it'. In my case it was a case of a mod, members, and not having an office. Now I log in most days but dont post if Im bored by it or cant think of something to post.
