Downloaded bios update file and bios updating utility from the wbsite (flashing and updating from a flash drive in initial flash screen didn't work) and said it updated ok but I have to restart. Said ok, and now it's stuck on "Shutting down..." Not sure if I should do a hard reset. Great.
E: did a reset, seemed fine. Dunno if it actually updated. Whatever, don't care. Btw is there a driver or something for intel hyper-threading technologyTM? Said to disable it if I had it using the bios but I couldn't find it in there so now I'm thinking I don't have it and therefore am not using the cpu to its full potential

Did you manually scan for new hardware in device manager?
