There's a Wolfgang Puck restaurant literally on my campus. I think its called Jai?

Never been, but it has a decently big name behind it, so it's got to be somewhat decent.

Carrs Restaurant
Lakewood, WA, couple blocks off into town from the I5/512 interchange.

Pros: Good, high quality food in large proportions that don't make your guts regret your choice of food for the rest of the day. Breakfast all day, plus lunch and dinner. Also with bar. Killer waffles, and hands down the best restaurant this town's ever had.
Cons: Lots of stuff is cooked from scratch, which isn't necessarily a con, but it can cause the wait to be a bit long. Call in your order ahead or bring your Gameboy. Ill-maintained parking lot makes the place look half-vacant. I hope it doesn't shut down like the restaurant that was on the same lot before it. The price is a bit more than Denny's, but not really a con if you can afford to treat yourself if you're ever in the area.

Oklahoma Joe's BBQ is about 8 minutes away, across the border in Kansas City, KS.  I eat there about once a month.  Anthony Bourdain listed it in a Men's Health (no small amount of irony here...) article titled "13 Places to Eat Before You Die" (http://www.menshealth.com/bestfoods/foo … ou_Die.php if you want to see any of the others).

Best sauce and BBQ beans I've ever had, and all the meats are top notch.  It's one of the cheaper BBQ places in town, too, but if you don't call in your order you deal with at least a 20 min. line before you even order...

Mr. Hungarians. Best hungarian food outside of hungary, I swear. In the downtown markham area. They have awesome schnitzel, great ghoulash, and even decently priced lobster on special buffet days. All the food is very good for moderate prices of 8-19 bucks. Actually, its much better than some food I've paid more for. It's a bit salty, but that's ok.

OH AND GYPSY STEAK

A restaurant near us called 3 Amigos. 3 brothers from mexico started it and they use all of their mother's and grandmother's authentic recipes. I cum buckets for their fish tacos.

french restaurant in maui.  me and the wife have been to hawaii a couple times now, and that place makes a wicked creme brulee.  i don't really care much about desserts, but they serve it in a half a pineapple.  look at the middle picture in the link.  so so so good.

Quite a few Italian places and pubs around here. A place called the Black Bull Inn offers the biggest steaks I've had outside the U.S.

Got a couple of very nice Michelin starred places dotted around. One of the advantages of living in a capital city.

Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa is pretty good.
Joe's Ston Crab in Miami is also good.
The Silver Slipper (recently closed) was also good.

By and large, restaurants piss me off.
I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something.  - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
