Conservatives only to the extent that they want to cement the status quo.

DON'T SAY SUCH FOOLISH THINGS!

Out of interest who in the Western world qualifies as a left-of-centre leader? Because I can't think of any right now.
Chavez, Castro, the chick down in Argentina, the president of Brazil etc.

Umm, Sarkozy, Merkel to an extent... there are a lot.
Yeah those first examples are obvious ones hence the qualifier.

Sarkozy and Merkel... interesting. I don't really follow European politics at all, but I had them tagged as right-of-centre.

Well, like Obama is still right of center and considered a leftist, those two are still left of center but appear moderate in comparison to their countrymen.

Then again, the site seems to have a right leaning bias when ranking politicians...

There's no way in hell that most of those nations could be considered so far right unless the person ranking them was a Das Kapital wielding zealot.

Wasn't arguing to be fair, as that does make sense. It just didn't fit my preconceived notions.

Sarkozy is pretty right wing, actually.  Even by American standards, he would be considered moderate, not left of center.

Merkel would be considered socially right of center but possibly left of center in economics by American standards.

No, both are very much conservative by their own countries' standards.

Agreed.  One country's Conservative is another countries Liberal.  Different standards with different histories.

Also time is a factor, e.g., JFK would be considered a Conservative today even though he was a Democrat when he was alive.

Indeed. An interesting line (via the wikipedia article on the history pf the democratic party):
Two old words took on new meanings: "Liberal" now meant a supporter of the New Deal; "conservative" meant an opponent.

JFK was a tard. Period. The only thing that would make him 'conservative' was his penchant for interventionism. He gave us federal unions and affirmative action.

It surprised me, I was almost dead center. I highly doubt it is the same test. I think b.o. would be an easy -9 -9  on the test I took here years back.

Still no source of graph ?
you need to cite the source . . . . . or it is merely opinion. it's also a forum rule . . .
What fucking source? It came out of my photobucket.
I didn't think it came out of your butt with 8ravo n 8urns stuck so tight in there.

Seeing you have responded to one of my posts is like stumbling across a Texas Long Horn Steer out in the Brush. lol

What was the tests Source.were the parameters, questions etc, Was the test run by Harpers News Week ( pretty sure it wasn't the Heritage foundation )
b.o. is not right of center, unless you are a dolt you would never buy that placement.
God you are as f**IN dumb, narrow and  minded as you are arrogant.

True, I remember. It was long before Joe J@rk arrived. It cant possibly be the same test. Can we run that old test again ? It would be telling to say the least.
