Ok, so he postponed it multiple times, split it up and had it tested at PAX(?) and its working like shit.
-Vine textures are fucked up
-Hunger bar isnt there (I have no idea of the function is)
-Messing around with FOV causes PFS drops (even when putting it back to normal a couple of times, so its not my PC)
Theres probably a lot more. He'll be busy fixing the issues in this for quite some time, he might have to postpone the second part of 1.8

I made a new SP world and its just a small island in the middle of huge ocean.
I can see a bit of land far in the distance so i'll try and swim for it. Not much else to do on the island since i cut down the only tree on it.

Well dont find those enderman scary at all and the spawn villages option is pretty cool
Server is down right now. Waiting for bukkit and its plugin to update. I'll let you guys know when its up. Some plugins make take days, but bukkit is really quick on updating, so I say by tonight the basics will be up.
i know we have our shit right now, but wouldn't it be fun to start a new world with the new biomes etc. or can we remove unused chucks that we never use and make it render 1.8 chunks?
Probably won't happen. I've talked to the 3 groups that play on the server and most everybody wants to keep what they have done.(I included)

But all the work that has gone into the server... + we have non forum users on the south of the map making there own stuff - I doubt they'd be so happy to start all over again.
Will we still get all the new blocks? Glass panes etc?
