I'm not really sure what's going on here due to the extremely vague interview on GTTV, but that's the gist of it. Both games are getting the same campaign to download called The Sacrifice. L4D2 is also getting No Mercy with all the L4D2 extras plus original survivors. Sounds like the best part.

It's in Part 4.

There's also a 150 page comic they're going to start showing people in 4 parts. It explains how the 4 original survivors got together and where they came from. The Comic is coming out starting next month. With the campaign assumably following that.

I have to say it's quite ironic that all this DLC is going to do is give people even less of a reason to play the first game.

That aside I have to say i'm quite looking forward to it. The new campaign will no doubt be short, bland, and add nothing to the overall experience, but:

No Mercy + Realism Vs + Anti corner camping infected = Good times.

EDIT: And yes, adding NoMercy is just another good way of pissing L4D1 customers off...

(I'm happy about it though, as I own only l4d2)

Well the new infected are good at attrition. You don't need to get a quad cap. Realism VS makes the Jockey a force to be reckoned with as well so even he can cause decent damage. I think it'll be good.

He is completely worthless. You leap on someone, your outline shows everyone where you are, you do about 2 damage and then get meleed off and killed. It completely nullifies his only special ability, which is moving people out of view. Whenever I get the jockey in normal VS, I just sigh and get that life over with so I can become something useful. Obviously he can be useful with a boomer but since they're rarer in L4D2 he's just rubbish all around.

In Realism VS however he's a great infected. I think in normal VS he should remove the survivor outline. Make him powerful.

Really though, Pub L4D is just awful.

And for all of you, quad caps are the best part of L4D1. Shit is so fucking intense. I used to do camera for a broadcasting company that streamed pro L4D and when they quad capped on the no mercy finale it was abso lutely amazing.
