As I've understood it, this thread is a follow-up from the "Tech Team nominations" thread. Thus, no current TT members should be a part of the poll.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Yes, I do. If there weren't any stupid useless troll entries, the votes would actually go to those who actually deserve it more than some stupid troll entry; that's why ebug only has 2 votes, one of them coming from me. I hope that's not too much to understand.

What prevented them for voting for someone who deserves it? The obvious fact that their are 5 pointless troll entries that actually took 11 of the votes; that's about a fifth of the total votes.

I shouldn't have to repeat this more than once... but they didn't vote for ebug because on the internet because its cool to troll. No one complained in the nomination thread because troll nominations shouldn't have ended up in a serious poll.

We're going to do this whole thing again.

We have a pretty good idea of nominations. Clearly there are only a small selection of serious nominees.

Will be sorted sometime in the next 24 hours (hopefully). A mod will create a new poll with no more than about 5 people. One, perhaps two (or maybe even three?) badges will be handed out, but no more. Most likely one or two.
