sounds like war mans kind of game
so i pretty much fuck up everytime i try to do a thief and end up mullering everyone instead.
Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
Surprisingly, I found it to be easier the further you progress. In the beginning I often went berzerk cause I fucked up every time, but now after Hengsha and Montreal, I´m all ghostm3thod wrote:

I do miss the option for unarmed combat outside of takedowns a bit though.
Probably the most annoying part of this game, seeing as stealth is valued. Why don't we get a knife?Sisco wrote:

Or at least regular fists that take a few hits to knock someone out.Superior Mind wrote:

Daaayum son, why you killing dem hoes? Dey working in an hones profession is all!
I think I broke the final boss battle. Using the laser rifle enables you to fire through the glass directly at the boss girl, without going through the three purge procedures first. lol
Kids these days not using proper spoiler tags sheesh.
"Raise the flag high! Let the degenerates know who comes to claim their lives this day!"
Pff, I phrased it vaguely enough that you wouldn´t know whats what until you played it.

I actually only defeated the first boss last night, not really been playing this much
Spoiler (highlight to read):
was a bit disappointed that you're given the choice on how to do the missions.. not so much on how to do the bosses. I got ghost through the whole thing, got to the cutscene and was presented with the big ass guy with a fucking chaingun on his arm, all I had were stun guns and the tranq rifle, some chocolate bars and no offensive augmentations

That's pretty much everyone who has played the games main complaint..Finray wrote:

I'll give you a tip though, the first boss can be defeated by simply throwing the barrels in the room at him, he goes down pretty much before doing damage to you.
The developers even admitted to have "outsourced" the bossfights to another company.
They did say that "The missing link" DLC would feature a bossfight more suitable for the game since they do it themselves...
EDIT: Another tip, do yourself a favor and pick the dermal-armor EMP shield asap... you will thank me later... (unless you like frustration, in that case, don't take emp shield)

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
all you had to do was cloak and keep chucking the red barrels at him
Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
You don't even need cloak, each barrel stuns him so you can pretty much kill him without getting hit at allm3thod wrote:

i dunno i went out full assault on him, i try to stealth (see post #102 above) but i just end up mass murdering everyone instead or get some bots to do it for me.

1. Aquire tranq. rifle.m3thod wrote:

2. Hide out of other guards' path
3. Shoot guard, next guard comes to check on him
4. Shoot the guard that came to check
5. Repeat 4 and 5 untill all guards are unconcious...
Also, non-lethal takedowns are 100% silent, you can literally do it on guards standing less than 1 meter apart without getting detected as long as they don't look at eachother.
Then again I'm guessing it's the temptation to brutally murder everyone that gets you and not the "difficulty" in staying undetected

Revolver with exlosive ammo upgrade. No one gets away. NO. ONE.
I loved it right up until I upgraded it to explosive, then it felt so useless to meSisco wrote:

I know it owns with the explosive bullets, I just think it felt better as a normal revolver
Then again who needs the Revolver when you got an armor piercing silenced pistol...

A loop? seriously? lame.
Not really a loop, they did that in the game... look at the energy bars I'm eating throughout the video...Finray wrote:

EDIT: Also I brutally murder them in the end

Finished the game.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
Tried to take the endings seriously. Your boss's (Sarif's) way would spin out of control too quickly. Suicide at the end of video games sucks ass. Darrow's spins out of control against tech. So I ultimately went with William Taggart. Sarif can fire me if he wants to, but I guess I'll find out the canon ending when I play the DLC. Maybe you survive "suicide."

Pro-tip, the DLC takes place in the middle of the main game.
