NZ time, no-one start complaining about timezones, I'm creating this so we don't get a heap of them later.
Five years ago on this day, Jeff Minard created the account name "chuyskywalker", marking the beginning of Bf2s.com
For some unknown reason, this site has lasted for five years. Many have come and gone and although Bf2s.com isn't the juggernaught of the Internet it was, it lives on. I can't speculate as to why, I don't think anyone here particularly cares about Battlefield 2 statistics any more and certainly our once legions of posters have deminished into a few regular faces - but still, half a decade on and ths site is still going and I for one think that is pretty impressive for a site and community such as this. I have known many websites which in their hayday were far more active than Bf2s ever was but for some reason while they have become void of any life, Bf2s lives on, (despite constant threads - I believe I created one myself back in 2006 - saying that the site was destined to wither up and die.)
So, to those who have stuck for the long haul, both regulars and occasional stoppers-by, to those few new hands who've decided to stick around, to the people who have been banned time and time again by myself and the other staff and to the people who've kept on contributing positively to the site - thanks for still being around.
