Rainbow six vegas two was actually very fun for me. The RPG elements, the terrorist hnt mode, all very enjoyable.firebolt5 wrote:

- What are some great video game series ruined by bad sequels?
Splinter Cell Double Agent, but the series was revived with Conviction IMO (still playing that).
Sonic the Hedgehog.
Left 4 Dead. (Not the game itself, but it's art direction, characters, music, level design and pretty much everything actually apart from the new infected)
Crackdown (Not actually played 2 but i've read enough to know they've ruined it)

C&c 4.

He probably meant the rainbow six before vegas/lockdown which were 100x better...pace51 wrote:

we need a new rainbow six game
we need a new rainbow six game
Half Life 2.... jk jk
Jedi Knight series of games got squashed dead with the last installment, Jedi Academy. I thought the game was really fun, but the story was pretty weak. Series died after that.

It just got ridiculous after MK2.farmerfez wrote:

Yeah... ghost recon, splinter cell, even the new HAWX are all getting sequels... why not rainbow six vegas three? I really found the counterterrorist element in vegas two superior to in any other game. It was even realistic.krazed wrote:

NO! Rainbow six vegas sucks! Pace, go play raven shield NOW.pace51 wrote:

AoE3
1 & 2 were awesome... 3 not so much.

Pokemon. Red/Blue was sweet, Gold/Silver was actually a lot better, but then it went downhill from there. I played a little of Ruby/Sapphire and that shit was just too much. I can only imagine the rest have gotten a lot worse.
Super Mario 2. Need I say more?
I need around tree fiddy.
There were still some high points after #2. Namely SMB3 and Super Mario World.

@ Csmag: Is raven shield another fps that focuses on counterterrorism? Never heard of it before.
Raven shield was the third installment of the rainbow six series, developed by red storm and not ubisoft montreal. It was released in 2003. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raven_shield
raven shield was fuckin mint
Aoe3 was pretty good, actually. The home city gave you versatility and provided your army with many early game boosts, which helped you in the early stages. Also, the customization was fun. The home city, though, did become annoying and confusing in the later stages of the game. Maybe, if there's another AOE, AOE4, they'll remove the home city and instead give you the option to choose between a small amount of very balanced Age 1 boosts. Like, start the game with a few soldiers, or a small gathering boost, etc.RTHKI wrote:

You need say something more sensible....DonFck wrote:

The best Mario games came after that.
Super Mario 3, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island and Super Mario Land were all great.
The only super mario's (not including super mario bros. platformers) I've played are super mario 64, super mario ds, and super mario sunshine. Of those three, sunshine was the least fun, but just by a bit. They were all fun, don't get me wrong.Bertster7 wrote:

I liked AoE3 but the others were far more fun. the home city was annoying because when i would want to change civ i wouldnt have any upgrades or not as many to choose from. i also hated the singleplayer setup. home cities had to be made specifically for deathmatch and supremacy, not just one home city for both, that was stupid.pace51 wrote:

the bonuses chosen when upgrading level was fine though, i loved how age of mythology did it. trading posts and the natives were also cool
one other thing i didnt like is that walls were shit in AoM and 3 oh and the building limits, hate that.
each game had things i really didnt like, but thats another topic.
