definitely look like a schoolteacher.

the polo top looks like some sort of new jersey-ite homage to tony.

Dude my little brother is obsessed with those shirts. He looks like a fuckin' stunad

That gold rolex day date President is a classic 90s watch though. If I were to ever get a gold watch, it'd be that one.

Polos are a NJ thing? That is just normal clothing for us.

I used to tuck in the polo but that felt weird. Always felt like readjusting or fixing it. Not good to have to fix your tuck while in front of a cafeteria of seniors. 🤮 I also would then need a belt. A nice Gucci belt maybe. But then I would need nice pants. And I don't have space for any of that in the studio apartment above the dentist office.

But yeah that is my aesthetic. It works well on the checks notes depressed 5 and 6s I meet online.

some new glasses and better fits and you could be holdin’ up the bank of 7.5’s in the very near future, clyde.

tucked polos feel like a thing for 60yos and golfers with beer guts, or students at a christian private school.

i'm not strictly a fashion person, but have usually followed this setup: mostly tuck polos if wearing a belt. if slacks, have a belt. khakis (i don't have any rn) or jeans? untucked. need something more formal? wear a button-up. those and tees are a lot less ambiguous between smart-casual and business-casual. IMO

i remember you talking about how your classroom was kept at a high temperature, mac. i do not envy that. gross.

there is nothing wrong with the outfit above, it’s totally appropriate for a teacher in fact, but i am here to tell you americans that you wear polo shirts way, way too much. like i can tell an american in a busy tokyo crowd from the very get-go. its always the poorly fitting shorts/cargo trousers and polos. always.

right, 'teaching' would be my first guess at his job based on that outfit alone. the sweater puts a 'guidance counsellor' spin on things. some black full-rim glasses and he's rocking the stanley tucci.

i put away cargo pants over 15 years ago. it's weird hearing they're back (i know it's been off and on, but still)? even for tourists. most of what i see here are jeans or slacks? even shorts seem like more of a rarity, summer months or no. cargo/polo would very much stand out at the local supermarket.
