I have a computer science degree (Only one year though because I had to move). So that's about 20 different subjects studied.

Working up in the Pacific Technology Center in Santa Barbera, they had a wing of their offices that needs cabling for their network.

In cheese-landSwitzerland it is. Well it's not like a full degree, because I couldn't finish, I didn't obtain my CFC but I got the qualification papers for all the subjects I did complete and am competent with.

You can get "diplomas" and other random certificates for only completing one year of a degree.

20 different subjects studied, huh? So you're about 40-60 then or Superman who read all the books about computing in one year. GG Clark Kent.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't get a degree unless you've done studying for the whole 4 years, or what ever it takes in cuckoo-clock country.

Oh, and what liQ said above. We get handed certificates at work all the time for all kinds of courses on networking, servers and whatnot. Except for me who can't get on a course no matter how much I whine at the boss to put me on one. O well, next year I'm in another team at the bureau and hopefully I'll get to go for them certificates.

Yes you can. I mean, you might not get physically handed a certificate, but if you drop out of a university course then you can get some accreditation for what you did achieve while you were there.

Fair enough, but to call it a degree is erroneous. Not only is it one out of 3-4 years, but 20 subjects would be 10 per semester.. which sounds like high-school tbh, given we do four subjects per semester (ie. 8 per year) at uni here..

So what are you guys up to? I'm bored, again..
