Hypothetical... What do you think a COD Non-FPS would turn out to be.

Another member notified us that we are due for a non-FPS COD in the future. So, what do think it would be like?

Personally, I think COD would either make it an FPS-RPG or some sort of TPS. CODwould probably adjust to those the best. The plotline would probably revolve around one character, and I'm willing to bet it would include tons ofcustomization. Maybe even a COD MMORPG.

However, I think COD will bring back some characters from the other COD's, because people won't be used to a COD non-FPS, so they'll need something to promote the game. I think they'll probably base it in modern times, and instead of an enemy army, it'll be a secret mercenary organization you have to fight against or something.

It'll probably be pretty goodtoo. It may notbe great, but if Activision does it,I'm gonna bet it'll be worth buying. I hope it'll be realistic as well.

Infinity Ward made cod's 1 and 2 not suck.

Fixed, Activision is a publisher, not a developer. They have little involvment in the game's development, other than forcing the team to release DLC by withholding their bonus for making just over a billion dollars in sales

I could see a WW2 historical game like collecting "intelligence items," sort of like a search for the key to open the door to unlock the next level. An educational war game or something like that.

And if you own the game you get super uberz gun in COD MW3... and 2 months later everyone gets the unlock.

I like how MW2 made the game FPS, with a game mode option for 3rd person, but shooters always look weird in 3rd person. The characters are usually huge, the weapons are super inaccurate, and you forget about trying to be sneaky. Just look at Gears of War, nobody want see weapons be that inconsistent in a CoD

Agreed, although, even linear FPS's get monotonous. That's why non-linear FPS's have a single player that can be played more than once without boring the shit out of people.
