Nov 11th is the day for the British Commonwealth, called Remembrance Day. And NO it is not a holiday.
It means a lot to me. I have lots of friends serving in Afghanistan right now.

I believe it is called Veterans day in the US. And it is a holiday there. In the UK it isn't but most people consider Remembrance Sunday to be the main date of remembrance.Karbin wrote:

In the UK there's also Armed Forces Day on June 27th, but that is NOT a holiday.
