In fact, the agency's inspection frequency on the Deepwater Horizon fell dramatically over the past five years
So it looks like this was a problem before Obama too.

This whole oil problem was definitely Obama's fault.

No, of coarse not.  Government oversite seems to always be lacking no matter the Administration.  However, the slow Federal Response is.

I heard Obama is sending Nuke experts to collapse the well.  Maybe we can use a nuke we agreed to dismantle with the resent treaty with the Russians.

Well, it's hard to truly enforce regulations on oil companies when 1) Bush was in deep with big oil, and 2) one of Obama's biggest campaign contributors was BP.

The problem with our government is that nearly all of the people responsible for regulating various industries are usually in bed with said industries (i.e. - Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Henry Paulson, etc.).

Doesn't matter, since the last inspection was less the a month before the spill.

there was ample time to prepare for katrina shit it's not like a cat 5 hurricane just magically appears from no where.  Bush wanted those blacks to suffer and die.  There i said it.

An oil rig exploding and sinking is not comparable.  Lax safety culture (noted previously at BP see texas oil refinery) is not the fault of the great obama administration.  Thus in conculsion:

Katrina: Bush the cunt
Oil: BP the bastards

yeah it was BP job to make those pipes more safe derp & will you stop blaming the incumbent POTUS for something outside his remit.  I know its convenient for you to bag on a great president but it's just making you look a bit well desperate.

and bush still hates black, he ordered like a zillion to the chair when he was gov of auschwitz Texas.

hail obama.

obaama is responsible for oversight.  he should not care about state rights and should have inspected those pipes.  obama hates black people.

You are really far out off base on this one.  First a hurricane, even a cat 5, are very unpredictable.  No one really knew where it was going until about 48 hours before landfall.

Secondly, there is an agency F.E.M.A. that handles natural disasters.  The man running the show at the time was inept.  Most hurricanes that hit under his watch did so in Florida.  Jeb Bush was the gov of Fl at the time and hurricanes are a way of life down here.  We know what we're doing.  The F.E.M.A. guy didn't do shit for leadership as we had it covered so all he really did was show up for press conferences and say "We're taking care of business."  For Katrina he wasn't surrounded by Floridians who knew what to do.

Third, the Mayor of New Orleans and the governor of the Louisiana REFUSED federal and other States help at first.  Bush wanted to help and was told to fuck off.  We had truck full of aide supplies ready to roll.  They told us to piss off too.  The same people that refused help later criticized Bush.  They were playing politics.  They are guilty of gross negligence.  Moreover, any money budgeted to the city for repair and upkeep on the levies was spent elsewhere.  This was their trend for decades.  More incompetence.  Evacuation by the Mayor of the city was a pathetic nearly nonexistent effort and empty buses sat in flooded parking lots for he didn't utilize them in a timely manner.

For you to claim that "Bush wanted the blacks to suffer and die" is absurd.  Bush has given more aid to poverty struck third world countries in Africa, than any other President in history.

Finally, yes Bush did fall on the sword on this one.  He didn't make excuses and point fingers elsewhere like the the Mayor and Governor.  It is a sad thing that he will be remembered as the shit head Kayne West said "George Bush doesn't care about black people."  He was dead wrong.

Katrina:  Mayor Nagan the cunt
BP:  still bastards (It is becoming obvious that they care more about saving the well/collecting the oil rather than capping the well)

IF so then I hope they get a hammering at Congress/SCOTUS.

True that.  Er' it really depends on what they hammer on.  I'm not a freaking engineer, but it seems to me that if one were to drop a 200 tonne cone on the fucker, it would plug the well.

I would think so.  I am not familiar with the rules of offshore drilling, but I would hope some kind of provision is in place.
