No. It's about who has better stuff, tactics, resources, and manpower. Same reason as it was in ancient times.Doctor Strangelove wrote:
Couldn't agree more. Nowadays war is all about who has more money. Fucking boring.
By having loads of money.
I know, the Athenians that fought along the Spartans, and the Persians that lost alot of guys to the spartans and athenians. The Persians ended up winning the battle with the amount of men they had and the resources.Uzique wrote:
resources, manpower, stuff and tactics/training are all matters of $$$.
america steamrolled afghanistan/iraq because you had more capital investing the war. not because your soldiers were inherently better. better trained, sure. but those are federal/state financed programmes. an aspect of your military-industrial complex. it's not as if your troops were more awesome on the ground at real, manly hand-to-hand combat. give an afghan farmer a scimitar and a us marine a broadsword and that marine chump would get sliced'n'diced.
F A C T.
p.s. war man: more than 300 died in that battle.

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
