So i bought the game on steam and its been working fine for like an hour and then it crashes to desktop.
I start it again and during a mission it crashes again, and its been doing this for a while.
It keeps crashing and also freezing whenever i try to peek under a door or zoom in with a rifle....

Pc specs.

Intel Xeon Harpertwon E564 2.68ghz 8 core
6GB DDR2 RAM
Ati Eyefinity HD5890 1GB
Windows 7 64-bit

I think its the game. I was gonna buy it but not after reading about it on teh steam forums. Its a half assed console port.

No Sonder the game is really awesome. However it can be quite graphics intensive. It's the player not the game basically.

its based of teh Unreal 2 engine... it should run on shit hardware, poor optimization.

I'm not having any framerate issues at max detail and max resolution but it does seem to lag for some reason during cutscenes....
Its not optimized properly.
Well i guess i will have to wait for an update.

Actually, I had this very problem which I solved by getting the newest drivers from ATI.

Just finished the game, too, which is a testament to how short it is. I must say this is a huge departure from the last SC game I played (Chaos Theory). Doesn't even feel like the same series anymore, and as such, I was disappointed with it, not to mention the story is just about as poor as Vegas 2.

Chaos Theory was considered a touch too hardcore they reckon.

Idk, haven't really played the series much since CT. Dicked around a little in Double Agent but yeah...

Prefer the Hitman games for stealth action now.
