I'd rather the 30 minute method than the lazy dishwasher one and be out of action for 2 days.

You seem to overlook the fact the machine pumps very very very hot water into itself. Hot water tends to distort/destroy things.ebug9 wrote:

I noticed later I put a bunch of keys in the wrong place, doesn't matter though, just popped em out then back in.
Back on to the main issue:
Why are you guys being so rude? Geez, my method gets you back online in 30 minutes, you have to wait days with the dishwasher, not to mention a lot of dishwashers are very very brutal. Especially everything Swiss, our washing machines and dishwashers have wrecked some nice things due to heat and the limestone in the water.
My method is fine, I have a perfectly clean keyboard, and I don't have to wait till Tuesday to plug it in and use it.

I think it uses boiling water as afterwards the dishes are scalding hot.
35 would be safe, 65 and a good bit below is still enough to warp the plastic. I tore apart a G5 to clean it, ended up rinsing a few of the plastic bits, and completely fucked the spring for the sensitivity buttons with the hairdryer I used to dry it. PROTIP: If you wash the keys in a bucket of soapy water, which is easily the best way to do it, throw them all on a towel and wait 10 minutes. I followed your guide except I didn't have any compressed air nor do I have a sister. I do have a clean keyboard however. So much crap was under the keys

Ok I followed your directions and pictures except now my Z key doesn't work. Every time I push it a Y shows up. Why is this happening? I need your help I don't want to buy a new keyboard especially after I just cleaned this one!
