Meh, I don't know much about planes. If it's such crap than why would a president fly around in it?

What effects is this going to have on their government? It's like the whole deal was in the one plane. Damn...

I'm sorry but if you're flying on a Tupolev 154 that is more than 20 years old, it hardly comes as a surprise.

But yeah, my condolences to all of them and their families.

Edit : "there had been calls for Polish leaders to upgrade their planes."

Well sadly now there's no more leaders.

As I asked, what's to become of the country's government now?

Probably see an interim government take place.

Even if the heads of state are not there, you'll still have parliament secretaries who do most of the work anyway fill the void til re-elections, or whatever is needed.

They still have most of their government, the president isn't the main guy, well he is, but the prime minister does all the stuff. They have one of those systems. It's a big hit, but not quite a complete government change

RIP. It's a real pity that it should happen at such a time, when relations between Russia and Poland were on the mend.

As for the government, the president is only chief of state, no gov--everything will keep running; the Sejm's speaker will be acting president, but they'll have to call an election within two months.
I like pie.
