we have really bad tap water here. I installed an osmosis system. They are relatively cheap at about $100.00 and the water you get out of it is really good. A relative whose job it is to test indutrial water ran a field test on the water and it was zero on everyting he tested. I even hooked the osomosis water to the ise maker and get clear ice cubes.

osmosis is the only way to go. then just carry your own bottle.

if you lived in bali you would drink bottled water.

i buy bottled water occasionally. but i refill it with tap water (even though the bottle says not for re-use!)

Does Dasani and the other big bottled water companies list the source on the "label"? I just noticed that with Nestle Pure Life bottled water.

i don't know about others, but dasani takes a local source and then runs it through reverse osmosis.

i would get an aluminum bottle if i were to re-use for tap water.

after i saw how dasani was "made", i had to google reverse osmosis. my wife used to work for the local coca cola bottler, so we got a good deal on dasani.

i've got a brita filter i run water through to make my coffee in the morning.

You can buy reverse osmosis systems for your house that you install onto your tap water line.

I don't know why people act like it's supposed to be tap vs bottled. I myself notice the difference and I think bottled is better, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it if I could just use the tap instead. Do you guys seriously think that most of the people who buy bottled water are doing it in their homes or whatever because they don't want to drink the tap. What type of retarded logic is that. Most people don't do shit like that. Only stupid celebrities and shit.

The video is dumb in that way because it thinks people who buy bottled water are doing it in replacement for tap water. Like I said, it's mostly an alternative to buying a can/bottle of Coke or whatever when you're out and about. A cheaper and healthier alternative, too.

Zephyrhills Water is very tasty.

Using water bottles to pop caps into the faces of your friends/co-workers is a sure way to get people pissed... Especially them Pure Life bottles, I swear, the handgrip was MADE for popping em...

I am dead set against bottled water particularly in Australia. We have a 10 year long drought. By bottling water you take water out of the natural water flow plus you waste water producing the plastic required for the bottle. Our drinking water is great, nothing wrong with it.

You can take as much water out as you like but as a citizen I can't wash my car due to water usage restrictions.

I will buy a 36 pack of bottle water every couple of months, and reuse/refill the bottles until a time I deem them no longer fit to be refilled.

edit: However, the bottle usage is primarily for my lunch pail.

Queensland is under water at present, drinking water is trivial compared with the amount wasted for other uses.
Bottling water doesn't take it out of the system.

I buy bottled water occasionally just for the bottles - they're useful. I refill them until they die, and then buy some more.
