So yeah, I some nice suits. I already have a black one (although it's an old 3-button style suit, which I find horrendous) and therefore I need another 1 (maybe two?) for my job and for life in general.

I'm willing to spend up to £200, but no more (you can get more than decent suits for that price, and anybody who thinks otherwise is a rich tool).

Next do a pretty sweet selection
http://search.next.co.uk/search?w=%2A&a … =price+rev

Any there that you think are good? I already have a couple of ideas, but might as well throw it out there to see what suggestions you guys can come up with.

Any other brand is fine as well, NEXT just seems to have a larger collection than most other stores. No need for a waistcoat or any other stupid accessories. Also remember I need a SUIT, not a Suit Jacket. So the collection must cost below £200, not just the jacket.

I'm sure you guys will come up with some decent suggestions

I like dark green suits, 4 button, 160's or up. (Thread count)
Shirt can be any earth tone, same with the tie, just make sure the tie has one or both colors in it or it's gotta be black.

Also, always match your leathers, brown belt = brown shoes.

Brand is totally up to you.

You can't get a good suit for that price.  Actually that's probably the least you could spend to get a decent suit, but you might as well bump it up a few hundred.  Good suits make you feel good.  Look good, feel good.

This is why I only have a couple good suits. I suppose if I had to I would buy more. If I had to.

I have a cheap suit right now, and people often mistake it for a designers suit, so I don't really believe in that. Sure, they're better quality and the cut in some of them is lovely, but I can just as easily look great in a cheap suit. I don't want to shell out on a suit that's worth £700 because I don't need to. I want variety from my black suit, and if I told anybody the price when they saw me wearing it, they wouldn't believe me. Simple as.

Uzique: They're lovely suits, but I just cannot bring myself to spend £1500 when I wont even spend that on my work equipment (computer). Totally unjustified for me.

I'm sure I'll invest in one in the future, but I have priorities right now (redecorating, desk, clothes, monitor, chairs) and therefore I'd like something that doesn't break the bank.

Maybe, yeah... I just can't bring myself to do it. Not right now anyway, I have more pressing things. Which is why I can afford a cheapie and then later on purchase an expensive one if need be. See? £200 is nothing, so I'd rather shell that out and look "good" than not have anything atm. I'm starting to dislike my black suit.

that makes some sense... then again, i've never subscribed to the "spend 'x' on something cheaper to get the 'y' real deal later" idea. cause in the longer run you're just putting yourself out of money on the x-item. i'd rather spend £1500 on a good suit for a year than spend £2500 in one year on 2 shit suits before finally saving for the real deal.

Okay, lets put it this way....

Money flow right now: X
Money flow in X months: XX

Do I still need a suit now? Yes.
So for me, it's a good call to get one now that's cheap, because I will end up getting a more expensive one anyway, but I need something now.

Yeah, I've already looked, and none of them really take my fancy...

The Perth Grey is the nicest of them all, and it's still not that nice. I would have already bought one of their suits if it was a pin stripe black or a dark pin stripe grey. I don't suit light and I don't like navy.

Yep.  I have 2 suits.  I bought two because the only thing worse than owning no suits is owning one suit.  I've probably worn both 2 or 3 times.

Try mexx perhaps, they should be in that price range and look fairly good. Not the best quality though, but that's okay if you intend to buy nicer suits in the near future.

You said you need some "nice suits", which you probably don't need to spend more than £600-800 for ones that qualify as "nice", maybe less or more depending on whatever the exchange rate is right now. You don't need to buy Armani or anything so these figures of over £1000 are absurd, and like people were saying with Poseidon: get what you like.

I need a suit for a spate of upcoming weddings and so on.

Quite fancy a grey one, like the one Cruise wears in Collateral or Grant wore in NbN.

Obviously not in the ridiculous range of course.
