I was hoping for episode 3, Portal might've been good but it's a one-day experience that really had no replay value to me
Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me

You know damn well that he was controlling the Flying Feasting Drone™ there, not coding games.Spidery_Yoda wrote:

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3178323GN: So I think you always have that challenge on your new games, explaining 'Why is it worth their time? Why is it worth their money? Why is it worth their passion?' And that's a case you have to make with every release you do."
1UP: What's the big answer you give for Portal 2?
GN: "Oh Portal 2's great. It's the best game we've ever done."
1UP: And it's not even done yet.
GN: "It's pretty clear, just internally."
It will still have to beat Deus Ex though...Poseidon wrote:

http://gameinformer.com/b/features/arch … story.aspx1998 – The untested AI is activated for the first time as one of the planned activities on Aperture’s first annual bring-your-daughter-to-work day. In many ways, the initial test goes well: Within one picosecond of being switched on, GLaDOS becomes self-aware. The "going well" phase lasts for two more picoseconds, at which point GLaDOS takes control of the facility, locks everyone inside, and begins a permanent cycle of testing. Her goal: beat the hated Black Mesa in the race to develop a functioning portal technology. Days later, that race is lost when Black Mesa successfully deploys an interdimensional gate through which an alien race emerges and effectively ends the outside world.

I really liked the hyper-pristine sterile atmosphere of the first one. The sub-sequent behind-the-scenes parts stood out even more because of earlier environments. But if the majority of the game is going to be in a run-down dilapidated environment, it'll lose effect pretty quickly.
