It is the very worst feature of the Xbox.
PS3 is better for someone who games online every once in a while, you don't want to be paying for XBL when you barely play it.
They found a solution, to use most of the features, you've got to be Gold member.
Yeah let me buy a membership so I can use Facebook and Twitter & download otherwise free demos.
Paying for shit you get for free on the PC

Even if you game all the time surely getting something for free is better than paying for it?Finray wrote:

oh come on, splitscreen is being shat on by the current gen consoles. They're all going for online multiplayer, even though they can't do it for shit.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
As a PC and console gamer, I give consoles more credit for value and in-house two+ player entertainment. Parts prices for PC's are blown way out of proportion for the end-user.
PS2>X360/PS3
I spent the best part of my young life splitscreen gaming with friends, I wouldn't trade that for a PC, but in terms of online gameplay only I can't see the appeal in consoles
the only thing more annoying than fanboys are people who give them the attention they want.

That reminds me of those prophecies from the 1950s, where they said that only a few universities and the military will have a computer... filling out whole rooms.SEREVENT wrote:

Well, I did the same on the PC.I'm Jamesey wrote:

Although, that was back in the Golden Ages of the early to mid 1990s, where most games had split-screen multiplayer.
NFS Hot Pursuit on the PC split-screen
You don't need a next-gen console for a good party game. New Mario Wii is a good qualifier, but there are plenty for the Gamecube.Miggle wrote:

well some games were great, a lot were shite, and a lot of new console games are like the old console games just with better graphics. It's bollocks saying the PS2 is better than PS3, or Xbox is better than the 360. So miggle's talking troll bollox, again.Chou wrote:

Were they? What about the generation before them? And the one before that?Miggle wrote:

I prefer pc over consoles because of the customization. I enjoy customizing my pc more than the actual gaming tbh.
Current generation consoles have shat on local multiplayer in favor of an overall shit online.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Pretty much any previous generation console is better as a console than the current generations.
Well that has nothing to do with gaming now does itSydney wrote:

I'm not really into the genre, but I thought Rockband and Guitar Hero were all the craze. Me, I like New Mario Wii and Kart. Also heard Castle Crashers was a decent live game. Kinda like Golden Axe.Miggle wrote:

why, cos you used to be able to play more split-screen so you could hardly see anything as you and three mates tried racing on tiny corners of the screen? yeah, that makes sense.Miggle wrote:
