For example, had a deadline today at 4pm, was in the labs yesterday from 11am to 12:30am.

avg salary for ME around here is 85 grand I think, you get like 60+ coming out of college. the work load is a bitch though, there's no doubting that

I take 13 credit hours and have 17 class hours a week. Next semester I'll be taking probably 17 credit hours which will result in something like 22 or 23 class hours a week.

Homework is probably in the range of 40hr/week, currently.

No, I have 17 hours of scheduled class each week. If I included the time it took me to walk to each class etc it would be more like 25 hours.

Most of my classes are 3 hours each, some 6 hours. Add that with a full schedule and it's easy to have well over 20 hours a week.
