Any tips on taking out the Brotherhood of Steel?

I'm doin the Mr. House line and he wants me to take out the bunker. I tried killing the leader and fighting my way out, but that didn't work so well. I tried fighting my way in, but once I take out the first 3-4 people I just get overwhelmed. I've tried using the Gauss Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Tri-beam laser rifle, grenade launcher.. nothing seems to work that well, I always die really quickly. Using combat armor and it doesn't seem the best. Cass and Rex as companions. Around level 15. I realize now that I probably should have stayed on their good side and just hit the det button somewhere inside, but it's a little late for that now.

Alternatively, a Pulse gun should work wonders vs power armour & turrets

EDIT: And the higher the caliber of the weapon you use, the better armor penetration btw...

My first char has ~26000 and she's not a cleptomaniac (meaning she has not stolen anything but skillbooks )

You DIDN'T hit the self destruct button? Wow... I figured that was a given.

Hit it, have two turbos on you. Run like hell.

And lose all the delicious tech they have stockpiled?

Huh? I was just going to raise a few video settings and saw this. I used to have that graphics card but that was a few reformats and a different motherboard ago. Will this be affecting my performance somehow? I dunno. It's weird.

That's the point of the .dll, it changes your videocard to make the game believe you have another, then the game does something magical and no framerates are lost

I'm still using it at level 30... No problems surviving tbh..

It's Veteran Ranger Armor

You have to kill NCR rangers to get it...

Vet.Rangers appear after level 18 I believe...

EDIT: It looks so dissapointing in-game.. I thought it looked fucking awesome on the cover too, but ingame it's kinda "meh"

Otherwise good luck finding a dead one, I didn't get the Desert Armor until the battle at the Dam.

Are you talking about the "normal" ranger medium armor?

That can be found almost anywhere rangers are fighting legion, however the veteran rangers just blow the brains out of any legion forces within 800feet

One in Novac, you get it if you complete Boone's recruitment the proper way.

You also get one in the Lucky 38 and Tops. There might be a few others but those are the only ones I've ever gotten.
