To get the BoS's armor you need to do the Black Mountain quest and that so far is ridiculously hard.

And that you need powerarmor training to wear it (which I have no clue where to get)
What do you need better armor for anyway? I'm level 30 and Reinforced Leather armor has been with me since level 5
(and most Brotherhood armor counts as faction armor.. the normal T-45d powerarmor is abit more rare

Some of the quests are hilarious. I was so tempted to offer Boone as the replacement meal in 'Beyond the beef'.

I wasn't willing to put up with the Brotherhood of Steel's bullshit. Didn't like them in the last game either, and this time round they basically try to enslave you. It annoys me quite abit that they swap the voices during the story, when talking about different characters...
I missed quite alot of the side quests this time, now I think I'll go for a evil - melee/unarmed playthrough.. and then in time, play the game to 100% with some good mods

Your first two lines give me an answer and then show why that answer doesn't work for me yet. I'm trying to do the quest with Black Mountain but I'm wayyyy too underpowered.

Fetch the Unique Plasma Rifle, if you have finesse you should be able to take them down with Crit-kills, I believe I did it with only 40ish energy weapon skillpoints...Poseidon wrote:

Having both a pet and a partner to tank for you helps... and minimize how many you take on at a time...
From what I figured, bullet weapons are far better than energy weapons to penetrate damage threshold though (it's what make muties and other hard enemies tough...)
I never bothered with special ammo even though it's far more powerfull

I had the unique plasma rifle but I sold it because it had nothing on the triple plasma rifle.
Okay, I was finally able to get some good armor from the BoS. 19 DT. I also got the anti-material rifle which is sick, and helped me take down the Super Mutant Masters. Boone too, of course.
