I had that at a bar once. Was queuing and some girl arrived next to me. We had the whole "doesn't it suck having to queue for so long" dialogue and then a few seconds later she was like: "So, gonna by me a drink?" I just kinda looked at her in mild surprise and said flatly: "Well, no". She looked like I'd just offended her, all of her family members, and her cat, all in one foul swoop.

I lol'd to myself as she turned away.

I can afford it but why bother when I can get someone else to buy me a drink? It's not done often, just whenever a guy sees me with my girl and flirts with her anyway. You know the type. Some guys just have no respect for other peoples women. So, they want to be a cock? They're buying my drinks.
