No, allowing illegally obtained evidence only invites law enforcement to use MORE illegal methods.

Sadly, not permitting illegal evidence will let some criminals go free, but the alternative is likely worse (infringing on a LOT of people's rights.)

In the OP's situation, the wiretap would not be admissible.  It can not be used.
(One of the people "in the know" should call in an anonymous tip from a phone booth!)
