basically that's what other developers are doing too... for example the same reloading animations and other things in MW2 (AK-47, RPG-7 isn't even remodeled basically, etc) and in BFBC2

i dont understand why people pirate games, let alone hack them. its just fucking counterproductive. I would not be shocked if 2 years from now Xbox 360 games or the next gen console system has games that are $70 -$80 USD. I ran into a 16 year old kid in November in front of Gamestop during the midnight release of MW2, he told me he got banned from Xbox live because he got a pirated MW2 copy/ modded xbox the week before. Looks like his ass got pwned. get the point

Hacking I don't understand, but I think in a lot of cases, people pirate games they otherwise wouldn't have paid for. I'm not paying $60 for a consolified watered down shooter, regardless of how many stars IGN decides to give it.

I don't pirate games because I personally feel it speeds up the death of PC gaming, but I understand why people might feel the need.

MW2 was (and still is, and will be for at least another year) priced at $60, but didn't earn that price tag, and that's why so many people pirated it.

If Activision wants to charge an all time high price for their game, it better not be a straight console port, but that's exactly what it was.
