They're called Killstreak rewards. Perks = Scavenger, Stopping power etc.Kez wrote:
Perks ruined MW2. I can't walk around without getting hit by a Predator Missile, or get gunned down by an AC-130 or one of the attack helos

Stupid fucks... didnt they wait until two weeks before release to tell everyone this excellent new system of theirs? To make it harder for people who didnt buy a copy to crack it? And apparently there are plenty of people who managed to crack it anyway. God damn. Such a shame.
i just joined a room where my whole team had unlimited ammo and superjump. wtf?
check my documents.
a lot of stupid programs have a folder in there somewhere.

I actually heard the screenshot button doesn't work in the game
without perks... MW1 and MW2 would not have the success that it has. it would sound like CSS for the most partKez wrote:

Well, there's Xfire and Fraps.[-DER-]Omega wrote:
so are you telling me that this finray fellow copy and pasted every single screenshot into paint individually to show off his marginal-at-best rounds? Nice.
Since when does the Spetsnaz have the logo of the Soviet Union? (thats was the worst thing ever in history)
Google it and you will see the official logo. So the developers fail.

I used XFire. Just press scroll lock + s ingame (default) and you can upload it through XFire when you exit the game.[-DER-]Omega wrote:

COD4 has promod, which does this exactly.specialistx2324 wrote:

It's very sucessful.
Promod has perks. It just automatically puts Bandolier, Stopping power and Deep impact for everyoneGravityy wrote:

Nut-uh. Deep impact isn't on. Just stopping power and bando. The impact ratings for each gun are set individually.
You can't really think of those as perks though, as it replicates the exact same effect as having no perks and modifying some stats (which is what they did for other things). It takes away customizability, which is the whole idea of perks, so this is a no-perk scenario.DeathUnlimited wrote:

The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

It doesn't have stopping power either, from memory.
They've just modified the damage for each gun.
The only perk is bandolier - and extra ammo isn't much of a perk.

Y'know what really bothers me about MW2, considering how it's supposed to be such a modern game that is so updated and fresh and offers amazing experiences... is that there's no fucking stopping power. If I shoot a little faggot care package runner with a magnum, desert eagle, barret, shotgun (at close range), he should not be able to absorb the hit and still come running after me. Why the fuck else would high-caliber close-range weapons (aside from the sniper rifle of course) be invented?
I have this argument all the time, but you then realize they'll all laser guns skinned as modern weapons, and really don't accurately reflect their real-life counterparts at all. I'll put 3 rounds from an M16 into a player's neck/chest, and he'll be able to withstand that.mtb0minime wrote:

Or, the alternative is to play Hardcore. It's better in terms of "you shoot them, they fall down and die," but it works both ways. (IE the chance of lucking out while under fire and killing the guy shooting you is slim to none)
I guess this is the next major step to be taken, as far as shooters go. I haven't seen any other games implement a stopping power / bullet caliber kind of system, and multiplayer does need to be balanced. But still, it'd be nice to have some sort of evolution from this arcadey crap while still remaining fun and balanced.
lol....i have about 10 hours of mp, i've had 2 nukes and DU U SUCK LOL <3
