Perhaps could have done with a little more comedy here and there. But other than that, I was suitably impressed.

3D is amazing. First proper film I've seen in 3D. I've been to a couple of demonstrations at the IMAX, but that was several years ago and it seems that technology has noticeably improved.

Indeed it has... this isn't the "Honey I Shrunk The Audience" 3D from Disney World anymore.

It's good too because Cameron doesn't go overboard with it. It's enough to make you feel immersed in the experience, but they don't go overboard with pop out scenes so that the people seeing it normally will miss out on that experience.

System Shock 2. Shit sucks.

You're just mad because people actually appreciate my opinions.
No, once again, I'd like to hear more about your opinions. I continue to ask simple questions and get flaming answers.

I suggest you hold off judgement on the game that inspired your favourite, until you at least play it.

What movies/games have you disliked?
So because unlike you, I'm not in a trollish mood 99.9% of the time and don't bash the things I don't like and instead rave about the things I DO like, you're trying to write me off?

Haha, Miggle fails again.
I don't understand why its so difficult for you to answer my questions rather than flame me for them.

The part of me that could ever have taken you seriously died with your previous sig/avatar.

Maybe if you didn't act like the prepubescent 16 year old you are, people would respond similarly.

Maybe you should re-read everything you've said to me in the last week and start to wonder who the prepubescent 16 year old is.

I think you'll find that in each of these conversations I have been civil, while you have ranted and flamed, and ignored everything I've had to say.

I'd like to know what movies/games you haven't liked. It's a very simple question.

I just wish it wasn't so one-sided. (Most) humans are evil, blue people are good. It would be nice to get a better back story on how Earth got so fucked up that we have to get minerals from other planets/moons. It would be nice to have to choose who you root for carefully, and could debate about it with your friends.

How earth got so fucked up? Humans raped the planet for natural resources, exactly the thing they're trying to do on Pandora.

It's one sided because each 'side' is a comic exaggeration of opposing view points. This exaggeration is how the film retains thematic quality while not boring it's audiences. It's not a dissertation because the general public wouldn't understand a detailed argument on the downfalls of neo-colonialism.

Just got back from seeing it. It was exactly what I expected. Very cool visuals, the 3D was good. Worked really well in some places - airship canopies, those futeristic sci-fi computer screens worked particularly well. Some things didn't, mostly because they relied on old techniques - i.e. blurring something that's closer to take it out of focus but also added 3D to it meaning things that were obviously in the foreground were still out of focus. That's understandable though since the film isn't just for 3D audiences.

Anyway back to the movie. It all worked you know, yeah a lot of it was shit we've seen hundreds of times before and a lot of it was kind of odd but it came together to get something new but not something particularly groundbreaking. The Na'vi were great, exotic enough, familliar enough, (very Native American, I'd probably say too Native American,) but kind of taking the whole "working with nature" thing to a new alien and almost supernatural level. Like I said, odd but it worked.

Either way it was a fun night at the movies - my first 3D film. It'd be interesting to see where they go with the technology.

I noticed that there were quite a few familliar sound effects. I'm a fan of Jurassic Park from way back and I can tell the distinctive Rex roar or Raptor squawk anywhere. I even heared the Bracheosaurus moan.

Saw it last night. 3D showing was full, so had to see it in 2D.

CGI was brilliant, storyline familiar but entertaining.
Never sure about the whole primitive nature weapons Vs modern technology fights when they come up in films, especially when they had arrows piercing cockpit glass when it was resisting bullets before.

Went to see it last night in 3D. I found it hard to follow the storyline in the first few minutes cause I was just in awe at the visual effects. It was simply amazing. 10/10 hands down. Story line was mint and the acting was ace.
