OH NOES!

"We would be willing to work with a videogame manufacturer to produce a game which shows the emblem in its correct use, as a symbol of protection during armed conflict, and where the player is rewarded for using the emblem correctly. Such a game could reward the player for respecting the rules of war and thereby, help the Red Cross Movement with its work to promote such respect,"

Now medics will get RESPECT points on top of revive and heal.
Yet more ways to rack of teh STATS! heheh

3 respect points for every time you could have killed an enemy, but you didn't.

so does that mean that the US army is using the "red cross" illegaly when they have an evac helly come to help someone and its got weapons on it to protect itself? or the navys hospital ships that have the a big red cross on them and are surrounded by ships of war.

I have never seen a huey with that cross symbol on it with guns.  However it is escorted by armed airships, for good reason too. Alot of nations see it as an easy target and way to just keep more men from ever returning to combat.  And that big navy ship in the middle of the ocean is surrounded to keep it from being attacked.

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.

I believe someone can only be considered a noncombatant medic if theyre unarmed. Meaning if the medic is carrying a gun around, its just fine to shoot him. The same with the medical vehicles, if the chopper has a red cross on it and a big minigun sitting on the side door, I'm pretty sure its fair game... so to speak.

I'm going to make a flash game right now that involves the red cross just to spite them.  The main character is going to be a Red Cross medic who is on a commando mission in Africa to destroy a village of natives who undermined a NATO plot to bring humanitarian aid to the region.  You get points for killing soldiers, double points for killing unarmed civilians and triple points for raping the women and children.  You can also get teamwork points by pillaging the village and selling the african village children to the blackmarket for slavery and sex.

Look for Red Cross Dawn in a store near you.  All proceeds go to drug trafficing warlords in Columbia.
