Anyway Boost, look in the section that tells your GF what you want it to learn and look for the one that says boost. Once you learn boost, during the GF attack animation you can press select and boost the attack damage done by the GF by pressing Square over and over again but stopping when it tells you too.

It makes a big diferance when you get the GF Eden who if boosted right can do way over the max damage of 9999.

I'm using the PC version, what does the Square button do normally so I know the equivalent PC button, it's probably the PC equivalent of A

You need to hold F and Press A. That said A is the equal.
