I see this word thrown around and they're are tons of groups organizations and other things created to stamp out racism?

Aren't' these things actually racist? They're created for the advancement of a certain Race and neglect all other races, it's just simply Politically Correct bullshit that is not actually for the advancement of anyone. If we actually focused on the issues that really matter, better education in poor neighborhood, we'd get further along then saying that this person didn't hire this person cause of their color.

Thoughts?

It's illegal to call someone a racist name because it makes them feel bad.

But if you call a fat ass a big fat morbidly obese Porker, does he not feel just as bad?

What about if you call a midget stumpy, or short stuff?

Yeah most of the times when you speak a hatefull word to a person it hurts.. I don't care if it's N___, S____, A__ H___, F_____ or anything else, I don't understand why it's even an issue. You get into a fight with someone words or otherwise, it's a fight and race shouldn't even be brought into it.

In the U.S. Hate speech is legal Jord. IMHO I don't think racism is really as big in the U.S. as people make it out to be, I think most of what people consider racism is actually just discrimantion (sic) based on wealth, views, and attitude rather than looks or origin. That being said I do think Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the so on are holding us back when they place the race card where it isn't meant to be.

What was the Math Problem?

I just see that as poor taste and the fact that the guy was black has nothing to do with it, if it was any random homeless person it was just done in poor taste.

Giving jobs at a fire department to two people who scored lower than other applicants, only because they were black. The picked not the best men for the job, but the best men for their "diversity report statistics."

It defiantly isn't saying "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life"

I think it was just a new concept they were learning.  The language in the picture reflects some of the "teen speak" of the day.

If that's it then it wasn't raciest at all, it was depicting an ignorant person for a positive goal and the fact that the person was black had nothing to do with it..

That's not what the kid's mamma said though.  Apparently for minorities in the US these days, it is acceptable (and even encouraged) to claim rascism over any minute unsetteling detail.  It is payback time.

If its just about being black and ignorant then its not racist... but good thing its just for the purpose of teaching children that blacks are ignorant and can't do math. ""NO WA" that's not racist"

Seriously??? you're blinders must wrap so tightly around your head that its cutting off the oxygen to your brain.
Next you're going to say that Jesse Jackson or AL Sharpton should STF out of it because they're the racists.

Putting a racist cartoon on a math assignment = fail... as in the teacher failed. Making excuses for this kind of crap doesn't help anyone and it shows that the OP doesn't know what they are talking about when they want to follow that neo-rascist rhetoric that raising an issue of racism is racism. What a poor attempt to try to cut of debate over racial issues, do you seriously think its working? Do you really think that dropping the debate over racial equality is going to lead to less racism? becuse I doubt it, what it looks like to me are racists wanting some breathing room because its getting uncomfortable for them but the don't want to change their attitudes.

As to the other point, of course racism is bundled up with other issues like socio-economic status, but if you were to raise an issue of class or economic status and call for equality you'd be called a communist or socialist. So people stick to calling for racial equality and equal access to the market system and equal interfacing with the govt. Which of course the haters of the the poor hate because its pretty tough to call a person raising a racism issue a communist, though I'm sure some retards would like to try. And I'm sure that people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and others are too smart to fall into that trick.

IMO thank god for video cameras, the internet, and other technology that capture the moment and spread the information like a virus. Its when the public gets to see the crap that is really going on that we get past the lying and the excuses and get a chance to fix things.... If its getting uncomfortable for these racists, then that's a good thing and its definitely not time to stop.

People who scream "Racism" are usually people who are foreigners (Or have foreign roots or something) and like to use it to win debates, fights or anything. Or as an excuse to start a fight. I see it all the time here in Somalia Switzerland.

What binders are you talking of?

It's a stupid point and one that has no bearing on anything. I'm not racist, nor do I have racist views. I never judge anyone by the color of their skin, I usually do it because of appearance(what they are wearing).

But this race card bullshit gets called so much, it's like crying wolf. We have scholarships, schools, groups and whatever you can think of for "Minority" groups which is self segregation..

I'm also not a fan of hand outs and if I got a job or something other then merit I'd be deeply offended.  Affirmative action is taking steps backwards and in my opinion pushes people to not excel because of skin color.

Also calling someone an African American is racist as well, not all black people come from Africa and we have a large Haitian, Jamaican population in this country.

Who do you think hold greater disgust for a child of mixed parents?

Sh1fty in the US it's mostly people who've been in the country for a while who throw the race card around. Call me racist but I find that African immigrants (like, not even first generation in the US. Just coming from Africa to make a better life) are usually the hardest working and the nicest. They don't have some sort of grudge against the government and white people because of slavery. Heck I even remember this one cabbie who told me that he thought it was funny how African Americans complain about racism and slavery when they have not suffered like their ancestors have, and will never suffer like many people in his home country currently suffer.

hey arent u also considered a minority since u are Argentinian/Hispanic? you get to go to any univ. u want... lucky also not all white people get along with each other, for clarification... maybe somewhat here in U.S. but like in Europe you have different ethnicities and such so it doesnt mean if you are white that you get along, a lot of different white ethnic groups dont like one another. Also English/Spanish/French are the ones who held slaves and such here in U.S. so they brought people from Africa here, and some other Western European countries contributed, they are the ones responsible for slaving people and then killing bunch of indigenous people who lived in U.S.

^^^^^^^sounds like a bunch of whiny crap to me. They got some so why can't I.....

"NO WA" me no racist. Do you really want to be an apologist for an obviously ill conceived and ill placed racist cartoon.... then what does that make you? And then rant about affirmative action crap like its the same thing. You know you can separate out the affirmative action stuff without approving of overt racism. It not that hard to do. you simply say "overt racism bad," but we need to stand as individuals based on merit so that we don't really need affirmative action. All we need to do is make sure that education is funded equally,  and that barriers caused by overt racism are removed. What really don't need are teachers doing stupid stuff.

Its really not that hard... unless of course you like the idea of giving racist cartoons to children to make them feel bad.

IMO the reaction of the kids in that class show a reflection of what passes as intelligent "is that your daddy" thought on these forums and shows that some education on racism issues is required.
