I live on the top floor, and it's a 2 floor apartment. I would have everything barricaded, food for 2 weeks. Then I would take allllll my guns mwuahhaha I have so many. Anyway, get some friends over, watch some movies and put zombie horde attracting substances and just waste them from the building. I have a clear 360* view with open land for 300m before anything could get to me.
Man that would be fun picking them off with the Garand. Then I would have friends holding the door back (it swings outward) then shove and I'd stab and shoot, then close and repeat

The compound circled in red is half made of literally 2-4 foot thick large rock/brick style fence. The other is 15 foot tall wooden fence.
The building circled in blue is made of the same 2-4 foot thick large rock cement stuff.
Also, inside the compound are several brand new 2009 pickup trucks with miles in the 100's. Around this compound is a garage with basically every tool you could ever want, an air compressor, and a enormous gasoline tank which our county uses to fill there vehicles. Were talking like hundreds of gallons. Inside the buildings attic are medical supplies, cleaning supplies, basically anything you could want to create anything.
The building has a great view - Considering theres open fields for a few hundred feet.
Also, its located about 100 feet from a lake - with a marina about a quarter mile from building - a marina with boats in water.

Making very little known appearence would allow us to remain mostly unattacked. And if we are attacked make our pressense unknown so that the zombies give up.

My weapons of choice would be a M1897 Trench Gun and an AK-103. Why? Because the first is a good old rugged 12 gauge pump action with the option to mount what is basically a sword as a bayonet. The AK is repliable, spews out relatively large calibre bullets and the whole world makes ammo for it.

7.62 rounds are just great. They go through pretty much anything and ARE accurate to 200m.

No I'm not the one talking about how good or bad it is, I have no idea cos I've never used one, I was just saying for you guys who are talking about AK's and shit

So, I'd lock the doors, board the windows, and more all the gardening equipment (shovels, picks, and power tools) indoors to defend against any intruders. The various bits of wood in the garage would be used to secure the garden fences, thus giving me free access to the garage and the stock of food in the chest freezer.
Then I'd wait it out. They have to starve sometime.
