I saw 6 similar 'sand castles' on a beach in Byron when I was on holiday there. None were on this scale all being between about 1.5-2.5m tall, but all with the same level of detail. There was one actual castle that had bridges and towers with those tea candle things in them which looked awesome at night. Another was a sleeping dragon, another was like the OP but on a smaller scale and can't remember what the others where but they were all impressive. Wish I had my camera with me at the time.
