Rubber flooring is also there to protect you.

Well, my gym is very machine and cardio oriented so i think they never bothered to lay in rubber tiles.Kmar wrote:

They have plenty of freeweights here, and I can do every exercise i want, but there aren't a lot of people at my gym that do deadlifts (Although i seem em more and more) and I am the only one, besides 1 PT, that does squats outside of the smiths rack. So I don't em blame for not putting in rubber tiles

I went up to 4 shakes a day on workout days. Today I've only had one scoop though, along with some chicken and have just sat down to eat a 350g angus rump.Kampframmer wrote:

I'll put one scoop in with rolled oats for brekky, so that's one.Kampframmer wrote:

Then I'll have a shake (again, one scoop of ON 100% Whey - Double Choc) with a bit over half a teaspoon of creatine about an hour before I workout.
Then I'll have the same shake with a heaped teaspoon of glutamine immediately post workout.
I'll also have a shake of just one scoop of whey before bed. All shakes with semi skim milk (or reduced fat milk, same thing).
I've read a lot of people eat peanut butter. What for though? Is it the fat or something?lrishpride wrote:

I added osme peanut butter to is a while back, but the pb here is too chunky. I also used to drink it with water or some fruit syrup. But now i drink it like this because of the extra kcals and i add the banana to get rid of the fake banana flavour of the wheylrishpride wrote:

very calorie dense and contains a lot of protein and some fats, same as peanuts but tastier/ easier to eat for someJaekus wrote:

well shit... that depends i guess. You don't want to rub pb on everything you eat because it does contain some fat (and most brands some sugar as well) but use in a shake or maybe on some slices of bread. Be creative, but with moderation.Jaekus wrote:

Edit: I guess a few tablespoons a day should be enough

Omega 3s and other benificial fats/oils.. just make sure it isn't loaded with sugar. They have all natural pb now but it's not all that great. There are better ways to supplement those nutrients.Kampframmer wrote:

I asked the owner. He said he would work something out for me, as in he'd get me some kind of moveable rubber mats. Those will suffice, I guessJaekus wrote:
Maybe the gym might provide a couple rubber tiles to put down for deadlifting? They don't cost much do they?
Cool owner though. Immediatly asked my name when I came in, asked me if I could find everything during my workout etc., great stuff.
That sure is one cool ownerJebus wrote:

Yeah, and I'm certain he lifts too. I don't expect much of a gym owner tbh, I just want the gym to be clean and have everything I need, but a friendly owner that remembers your name etc. is always a nice plus
Aren't you consuming whey shakes? .. I thought I saw that earlier. I know you said you eat a lot of chicken.Jaekus wrote:

Be careful because too much protein can actually be bad. Protein should not make up more than 30% of your caloric intake. Doing more can produce toxic ketones.. which makes your liver work harder than it should. Just remember you are shooting for a proper balance.

My gym always has 1 or 2 people at the desk, some of em say hi every time. some of em just ignore veryone that walks in. The PTs are okey thoughJebus wrote:
