Drank 24 fosters last week in a night (hangover shit was amazing). Prefer ale though. For someone who weighs relatively little I've got the same tolerance as all of my friends, if not more than some.burnzz wrote:

edit:not that i'm saying fosters is beer... It was just an example

It's just the way I'm built, been like it since I was little. 2 or 3 doctors have said it's fine. I eat a shit load I just never gain any weight, metabolism or something, dunno.
3 eggs on 2 slices of toast with half a can of beans and some mushrooms, can of tomato soup and a slice of toast, a banana, marmite sandwich, curry and chips, 4*weetabix with about half a pint of semi skimmed milk and an apple a banana and a nectarine sliced into it. Pretty average day.
edit: will try to eat a bag of peanuts a day, see if that makes any difference.
The 200g pack I buy has <2g of salt, it makes up for it though containing 104g of fatebug9 wrote:

Didn't drink a lot until a couple of years ago, started 6th form and learnt the joys of skipping school, drugs and booze
My record still stands at a litre and a half of tesco value vodka neat in one night. Felt like shit for about 3 days though.

If you're serious about gaining 'weight' and not necessarily muscle, try GOMAD. Drink a Gallon Of Milk A Day. Every day. Full fat. Until you get to the weight you want.
People have gained 25lbs in 25 days using GOMAD

Yeah that ^^^
Also, when you can afford it, get a couple kilos of whey protein powder and drink 3 servings a day. Protein builds muscle and the extra calories will help you gain more weight.

100kgx4 squat, 130x2 deadlift today. Lift's going up up up
Tried that but only with 2 servings a day for a month, didn't have any effectJaekus wrote:

Might give the milk thing a go if the dairy overload doesn't kill me.

Wow, for srs??
In that case you need to eat like it's going out of fasion. See food, eat it. Just try to make healthy choices and not snack foods, otherwise all you'll put on is fat

Somebody posted a link to a sight a while back with Gregg Plitt and his helpful videos...
I first thought he was sorta a douche bag; self centered model and all that but he seems pretty cool and he's got some good tips:
(videos won't embed)
#1 How do you add lean mass without adding body fat?
#2 How to become a cover model? (doubt this one really applies to most of us but interesting nonetheless)
#3 Breaking past plateaus
@7:36 on the last video for the few minutes he talks about pride made me happy. I go to college and there are some guys there that need to take a note from this Greg. Seriously the gym isn't the place to stand around and look cool. Are you seriously working out to impress other guys at the gym you go to? Fuck off
anyway, original site with updated videos that was posted a few pages back:

i finally decided to read the report that was emailed to me on christmas, and i read through the entire thing (besides all the success stories), and it sounds good. i'm going to start monday.PrivateVendetta wrote:
Yeah! 10lbs squat! Feeling so pumped!
@HaiBai I can mail you the report if you're serious, it's a all body routine that concentrates on 3 compound exercises a day and you add weight EVERY time you workout. Meant for strength building.
im just worried becaue i workout solo, and i don't want to injure myself while bench pressing
I workout solo too.
I think you'll be ok though. As you're gradually increasing weight from a light starting weight for the routine, you'll gauge how well you're doing the reps. By the time you get to heavy weights that really challenge you, you'll have a pretty solid idea on when you're one to two reps away from failure, and be able to safely put the barbell back on the rack.

You can also just push them over to one side when you get caught off guard. Not that easy, but easier than pushing it up.
Had no choice but to miss my workout today. Recording session that went through till 4am, didn't get home till 6am and sleep till almost 7am, up at 9am to work for a couple hours, back home for 3 hours of sleep and then straight to work where I'll be here till tomorrow morning. I hate getting out of a routine
Just finished working out, I'm liking my new routine a lot. Feels good to do a full body workout instead of a split.
This is the routine, I'm not supersetting anything either.
Squats - 1x8 warmup set then 3x8
Bench press - 3x8
Bent over BB rows - 3x8
Standing BB calf raises - 3x12
Seated Arnold presses - 3x8
Zottman curls - 3x8
Tricep kickbacks - 3x12
I also have a B routine, as follows:
Squats - 1x8 warmup at approx 60% weight, then 3x8 working sets
Seated military presses - 3x8
Deadlfts - 2x8 (I find after the squats my back and legs have already been worked quite hard so 2 sets is better IMO)
Incline flyes - 3x8
Bent over one-arm rows - 3x10
Incline DB curls - 3x8
Lying DB tricep extensions - 3x8
I'm not trying to up the reps or weight every workout. Instead, I'm going to maintain the same reps and weight for a week or so, then try upping the weight only when the workout begins to feel more comfortable, and then continue on the new weight until I reach the reps as set out above. Hopefully this will mean more strength and muscle gains, instead of endurance (you can't have it all, if you want strength gains you can't go for endurance simultaneously, and vice versa). I also hope this means my recovery over the medium term is improved by this approach as I'm not constantly loading reps/weight every time I workout.
I really like this thread, I wish more ppl would post in it more often.

sure.
Had to take three months off with a wrist injury. Went back last monday slapped two 15kg plates on the barbell, usual warm up.
Arms started to wobble and the bar nearly landed on my head.

Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
Holy shit! Was that due to your wrists or having so much time off and misjudging the weight?
having taken so much time off. to be fair work and mba commitments had also got in the way. Hasn't taken too long to get back to normal, blasted through a chest workout yesterday.Jaekus wrote:

Binned SuperPump250 after half a week of use. Most pointless pre-workout supplement I've ever had. Gave me terrible shits and didn't even give me a pump during my workout.
After extensive research on what are the best pre-workout supplements out there, it seems most people swear by Controlled Labs supplements, so I bought White Flood for pre-workout and Purple Wraath for intra-workout. From what I've read there is nothing that comes close to these products - other than Hemo Rage UC and Muscle Pharm Assault. If White Flood doesn't do anything for me, then I'll have to try the other two. I need an extra pump for my workouts, especially as I'm supersetting now.
