While you may have access to lab pure MDMA the average numbnut probably won't, even then there's no way you can say recreational use is perfectly safe until you're 10-20 years down the track.

Lab pure THC has big fat risk factors for schizophrenia, and everyone thought LSD was safe at the time...

I'm more than 10 years down the line from my heavy MDMA use. Hasn't had any major impact on me.

What do you mean by lab pure THC? THC is not something that is created in a lab, it is grown. The only impurities you may find in weed are trace amounts of fertilizer if has not been properly flushed.

As for schizophrenia links, I believe the medical community have been moving away from the causative link between THC and schizophrenia (that's so 2004-2006). There is now far more research being done into using THC and other cannaboids in medication for schizophrenia, as it is thought to help mitigate the symptoms and, rather than causing any damage to the brain, has been found to promote brain nerve growth.

Which research? Into what? As far as I am aware, the vast majority of research into cannabis and schizophrenia at present is about the positive impacts it has. I have not seen any big studies into it causing schizophrenia for several years. Care to point me in the direction of some of this ongoing research?

Medical grade THC is what you get in weed. The only way of obtaining THC is from weed.

dilbert what you really overlook, rather naively and foolishly, is that medical research is politically engendered and motivated.

there have been so many science experts that have expressed contrary views to the 'public line', and have promptly been dismissed.

i'm of the opinion that no 'research' paper is a truly objective piece of scientific analysis anymore... for good news and bad news alike
