So a person with defective genes should be elevated to being the equal of say, a genius? Just curious. Raising a person with an IQ of 60 up and saying he's equal to the man with the 160 IQ does that mentally impaired person no favors. Sure, you may have helped his self esteem in the near term but they're not equal. One IS superior. I know that's hard for you to accept but it's just life.

In GREAT Britain it depends. My school we had kids with mental/disabilities in the same school but attend different classes depending on their learning i.e. band 1 would be for all the bright kids whilst band 4/5 will be for the ones who aren't. If they want to move up they will need to study hard. I knew a few people move as high as band 2 which in GCSE terms can aim for a C which is a pass. But there are also schools who just cater for them on their own.

anyway back to the video, the fat cunt should be sacked. Being pushed for not tucking your shirt in is pathetic. The kid has a brain problem and could have been made worse. I fell on the ground head first when i was 5, i was in hospital for weeks. I luckily didn't suffer any brain damage but did fracture my skull and have a 3 inch crack on the front of my skull.

hhmm Special Ed.

Thought special ed was for kids with severe mental disorders, not slack ass kids that don't want to be there to learn.

To the posters crying about special needs students being based on socio-economic status and these kids making your school go to shit just because they are poor, for your benefit here is a list of kids who may not show outer physical signs but could have mental issues

1. FAS or FAE... if you're one of these people complaining and don't know what FAS or FAE are then you really are talking crap
2. In utero cocaine exposure... these kids do good in school until puberty and then the wheels fall off mentally
3. physical or sexual abuse
4. lack of good nutrition... ie some haters (no names mentioned, you know who you are) who think it was a great idea to take a mothers welfare which was the means of feeding her kid when they took away her welfare. Yah, harming the baby really teaches the mother a lesson in responsibility.
5. other defects like genetic defects
5. mental defects caused by whatever reason like high fever, burst appendix etc that can cause damage... possibly from a lack of adequate health care.
6. and some kids just peak in their educational ability.

And as for lower socio economic status.. guess where those students' parents are going to be from... skid row and the slums where the drugs and the violence and the crack whores are. So while these kids might be poor, they also probably have a higher likelihood of having the problems listed above. Just because you can't see it or don't care to look at it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

And isn't amazing how people complain about stuff like this and they are probably the same people who march in stupid tea parties crying "no welfare" "no health care" and then they short sightedly complain about these eductional issues arising from the lack of those two things. If you think that these are issues that need to be fixed then I suggest that you think of ways to help these kids rather than trying to punish their parents by advocating that harm should be done to the parents by causing harm to their children.

One cannot have wisdom without first having empathy. And you can't have empathy without having respect for other people.
Some of you really need to practice washing the feet of a stranger before sticking your own foot in your mouth.



In Australia and the UK, I think there is more structure towards tracking student to academics or trades. That kind of tracking is limited in the US except of gifted student programs or IB programs. Its not really the same as US special ed programs.

The fucking kids in the special ed system who are white and act all fucking tough walking like they've got something shoved up their ass and acting like our town is some kind of ghetto piss me off
