Well thats if you want to transfer, if I do the IGETC all I need is 34 or 39 units of IGETC req classes then I can go to a UC as a sophmore, i'll talk to them tomorrow since I have a 45min break before my next class.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

I went to UCLA because I got denied my first choice It's an amazing campus, a great brotherhood to be in (you get to rail against all the wannabe USC fanbois that didn't actually go to USC), generally good sports teams (especially UCLA bball!).
I've heard their pre-med is great too, but that's only anecdotal. A friend of mine recently graduated their Optometry program though, paid for by his GI Bill
I did IGETC as well, easy shoo-in to any UC school as long as you follow your counselor's advice and keep the grades up. Only C I ever got in any college course was in Math. It actually took me 3 tries to pass Statistics, although 2 of those tries were with teachers who only had a basic grasp of the English language.

So I was hanging out in Dunkin Donuts with my two friends and this guy walks in. He is wearing one of those gumba spandex shirts, basketball shorts and kicks. He looks about 50-55, beer belly, Slicked back, dark gray hair. He is drunk out of his MIND. He stumbles over to the counter and says "I want to pay from them (pointing to a table at which were seated 3 Arab gentlemen), they are my friends." The clerk calmy eplains that they already paid. The drunkard proclaims "No! I want to pay!" They go back and forth with the same lines for a minute then the drunkard drops the funny bomb. Looking at the short, South Asian clerk,
"Are you a racist because I'm white? Are you racist because I'm Italian?"
Calmly, "No sir, I am not a racist."
Two young Middle Eastern guys walk up to the counter from outside)
"Are you racist because this guy (pointing at the young Arab guy) is white?"
"No sir."
"Oh wait..wait.. this guy is a... a.. Hispanic. Are you racist because he is Hispanic?"

The drunkard takes out a $20 bill.
"I don't have change, sir."
The drunkard pays for his coffee and bag of sweet, buttery treats and with a look of superioirty, walks over to the table of the older Arab men.
He hands one of the guys his coffee so he can reach into his pocket. He pulls out $3 and hands it to one of the Arab guys.
"No, no sir, we paid, thank you. No. No"
The drunkard insists and leaves the $3 on their table.
"Don't forget your coffee!"
The drunkard stumbles away slowly.

The drunkard awkwardly grasps his coffee with fingers that looked like dried meat swollen around knuckles.
He sits down, screeching the metal chair against the tile floor. He devours his treats and sits in drunken, sallow, brilliance.
Everyone in the place was loling.
