I'd love to make the switch to chrome but the one thing that gets me is the saved passwords and history. I've got so used to the way FF does it that I can't make the switch.
I turn off everything except saved passwords and only when I start typing in my username for whatever site does it fill in, NOT when I first get to the site (ex: I'll start to log into BF2s and type "p" in the username field and it will THEN autofill "pirana6" as well as the password). All other security options are turned off. I've noticed this only works if I type my username and passwords into whichever sites I want them saved the first time I install firefox THEN go into the settings and turn off "save usernames and passwords". The few I did before that did save while no new ones do (which I like).
I also select 'don't save anything I type into the URL bar' which does exactly that in FF. When I do the same for Chrome it only deletes everything ON EXIT. The whole time I keep the browser open it remembers everything I typed into the URL bar for that session. Not good if I fap then keep the browser open and later my roommate walks in and wants me to go to some website.

Why don't you just use private browsing in Firefox or open an incognito window in Chrome? They're both porn modes that don't remember any history, cookies or passwords and then the browser loads all your regular stuff right back up again when you exit them. That's one thing about Firefox I already miss because private browsing backs up all your other tabs and takes over the entire process so opening URL files from the desktop(or folder you have it saved to) works as normal
With Chrome, Incognito windows are run separately from regular ones(where the history & all are still recorded) and opening URL files always defaults to opening the link in a regular un-private window(recording your history and everything) even if you only have an Incognito window open, and so far I haven't found any way around it other than to manually drag the link file from the folder into the Incognito windows to open it up in a new tab every single time. I could get used to it I guess but it's very clumsy
