Selling my EEE PC 900 after 3 years of ownership. Been through XP, Jolicloud, Joli OS and Chromium on this machine... just reset it back to factory with the ghost images of XP that ASUS provided on the disc and after booting it up it almost brought a tear to my eye. Going to be sad to see the little bugger go and seeing something boot XP to the first time was something I hadn't seen for a while...

Think it's fixed. Had to uninstall everything, clean the registry, download new versions of everything, reinstall. Seems to be working, but haven't had a chance to fully test the drift problem yet. Quick check yesterday seemed to indicate it was working OK. We'll see.

On another note: what is the best 120gb add out just now? I noticed that a recent corsair firmware release increased speeds by 45%. I'm wary of buying into it right now because its such a rapidly changing technology.

I got the Force Series 3 SSD 120GB and its great. I raided two of them and see r\w at over 1GBs on some benches.

I prob won't buy 2 at once sonder, will get one in Jan, and add one in the Summer.

On another note, had to fix jacquis brothers pc, borrowed his ram to figure out if the ram in my old pc was dodgy. It was! Thanks burnzz <3

Didn't Intel and OCZ just release some SSDs that are capable of pushing the limit of 6Gbit/s SATA

I've damaged my laptop screen and I'd like to replace it, I've never changed a laptop screen before but I imagine it's fairly straight forward once I remove the broken one.

I'm not sure which screen I need to order, my laptop is an ASUS F8VR, but can I order an LED screen if my current one is CCFL?

Some of these seem to be the same?

screen replacement is a cinch, the only hard part is connecting in the cable to the screen.

there will be a youtube tutorial guaranteed.

I did grab the two Samsung 1900x1200 monitors at least...

Anyone know a way to get geeks to do their job?
