Unless you are running higher than 1080p (like triple monitor or 2560x1600 30") any GPU can't utilize more than 1GB VRAM to cause any performance degradation, period. Take into account the comparatively anemic performance of a mid-range mobile GPU, 1GB is even overkill, and you can't really drive that resolution with that card anyhow, unless you want a slide show. http://forum.notebookreview.com/gaming- … 2gb-3.html

Just get it! From what i read, you will not notice the difference. You can always use it when you upgrade ur mb. you will also get a higher price if you one day decide to sell it.

What's the best card for about £150 at the mo? Was looking at 560Ti on overclockers but a lot of the cheaper ones aren't on there any more, still thinking one of them or maybe a 6870?

ASRock boards can be hit and miss like any other company. I've had as good of luck with them as with brands such as Asus, Gigabyte or Evga.

I wouldn't recommend a very expensive motherboard for LGA 1155, even with the PLX PEX8608 workaround.

A 6950 is usually going to outperform a 560Ti by a bit, but the 6870 isn't that far behind. XFX has one with 2GB.

Hard to benchmark an entire company based on experience with one motherboard. I've had "reputable" brands that have failed as well. RMA and try again, I say.

you mean 2450? I got a 2450 and its an excellent monitor, really light and thin. got one purple dead pixel but its unnoticeable on anything besides a completely black background
