Early October according to this site:

Seems kind of odd that they would announce it in late September and launch in early October. Wouldn't they want the buzz to last more than a few weeks? Do they typically release products so soon after they're officially announced?

They have been shortening the period between announcement and release with each version of the iphone (except ipohne 4). Found a nice littlechart that explains it. Here is the full article.

So yeah...parts prices are down fairly low, so I was thinking of telling the wait for intel's 2011 where to go stick it and grab a Sandy Bridge rig. Anyway, I was browsing cases and found this (in white or black):

NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT White Steel / Plastic Enthusiast ATX Full Tower Computer Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6811146067

I don't normally like bizarre, protruding angles on a computer chassis. But in this case (sorry, pun), it doesn't seem tacky even to me. The cooling looks good and the cable routing seems convenient. Thoughts?
The plastic on these aren't nearly as shit as I remember NZXT to be.
I've read some complaints that the plastic has too much give. Still thinking about it as an alternative to haf932/x, but I'll probably just go with a haf.

Black used to be such a nice alternative to beige. Now it's far too ubiquitous. The NZXT caught my eye because of the color, but ultimately I'm more concerned about features.

If I was running a computer store and wanted something to display, the NZXT would be a great centerpiece.

So, a CPU cooler is pretty much at the last component of my shopping list. For the 2600K (yes, I want to use hyperthreading; no, I don't want to wait until the 2011):

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus (first choice)
Zalman 9900 (second choice)

Was looking at the Noctua NHD14, but I'm not completely confident about its mounting system unless someone can convince me otherwise.

The ram has a bit of height on their heat spreaders, but nothing like the Corsair or Kingston hair brushes. The motherboard has heat sinks I'm not sure about. Without measuring the thing, I'm not sure if the Zalman would lean into one, but I'm confident the Cooler Master could.

I've personally mounted an NHD14 and had no issues whatsoever.

Wish I got one for my PC... Not sure if my Froyo is actually any good or whether my room's temperature just is as hot as it seems.

I've got a Noctua NH-U12 SE2. Obviously not a NHD14, but I found Noctua's mounting system far superior to previous ones I have used (Intel, OCZ and Cooler Master).

Mounted the Corsair H70 that I bought off a friend a week ago... my Phenom II idles at 20°C (according to default AMD sensor, which is about 10°C off) with 50% fan speed... nice!

Anything around 500w should be fine, this is the cheapest one I could see on OcUk thats modular and a reasonable brand:

650w Corsair, Seasonic or Antec would be ideal if you want some headroom but don't want to SLI/crossfire.

Any recommendations on turntable sub $200? Parents have a ton of old records that they love playing, also going to use at wedding in the near future. USB required, obviously.

Was looking at something like this

Quick question: Does anyone know of a software fan controller that I can permanently set fan speeds? With SpeedFan I can set the speed, minimize the program and then when I put the computer to sleep and wake it back up, the fan is spinning at 100% and is loud as hell.

Do you actually own one kimmm? what's the difference?
Assuming you'd want better sound for a wedding, i figured professional model is right for you at 200. Audio-Technica is great brand. Someone close to me uses a few of these for events(though i think it was more than 200? hah)

its not going to be a big wedding, tbh the only reason I'm going to pick one of these up is because I saved them the cost on speakers by bringing my own.

i dunno much of anything about turntables though, so it's all kind of just staring at prices and brands right now
