reinstall hasnt helped, rolling back drivers hasnt helped, swapping ram hasnt helped. also i now get black splodges ingame - gpu close to die?

oh i figured ram might be a problem because other stuff is just being stupid - eve crashes on load, my card isnt running hot or anything and yeh

Try running Furmark or something see if that gives you any problems.
Sounds like ram to me.
after being owned in bf2 im pretty confident thats running fine - no artifacting or instability. ill try furmark then ill run memtest yes/no?

swapping the ram around/about hasn't done anything. gonna try some other drivers (i did update them a day or so ago)
