Why would I need those silly icons when I know how to get there using directories just as quickly
Are you missing the point?

The whole idea was about backups...

If you run windows 7 and insist on cluttering your stuff around your HDD like sprinkles on icecream, just use the library to keep everything on hand for single drag-n-drop backups...

And you can change the locations of the original user folders as you please...

I dont think you know the meaning of the word backup

I've used the library feature for that before.  It screws up if you're changing around external drives though

Why do you need to add externals to your libraries?

Who the fuck uses externals to keep files they have nowhere else?

Geez people get a decent amount of internal storage and an external for backup & transport

Yeah lol, I dont have room left in my case for HDDs so I have about 5 externals.  Plus I actually leave my house and bring movies/music to other people's houses.

1.5TB int. + 512GB ext. + 256GB ext.

Not even using half of my 1TB primary drive, and the secondary .5GB drive is for backups...

Wait guys, GTX 470 price is cutted to 250€, this could mean 460 price cuts are not very far.

I think it won't hurt wait a little before grabbing that gtx 460... also HD5 will soon get price slash before the HD6 is launched, putting more pressure towards nvidia to respond with price cuts of their own.

Competition sure is good for consumers.
god news for me as I was thinking of getting a better card now that Mafia 2 is out and 250€ is my preferred price range. How much do you think 460 will be after price cut.?
190€ would be good bet for 1GB, this store seems to have already updated its 470 prices and dropped the GTX 460 1GB to extremely good deal.

some browsers are faster than others.

operas main selling point and the main reason opera got popular was because it was literally 5x faster than IE/FF ~4/5 years ago.

it uses a different method to load pages which was exponentially faster for those on dial-up.

yeah, I know Google is a fassssstttttt browser, but it's the nature in which people are dumb enough to think that it will give them an extra MB/s connection

where exactly is it saying it'll give an extra mb/s?

you're just bitching for the sake of bitching.

it's relative: compared to (some) other browsers, it's faster. that's all they're saying.

im not sure you can blame a company for using superlatives.

I think Chrome is also faster on mac.

so after about a month of using w7 on my laptop i installed the w7 audio drivers for it. Now it's back to how it was before i.e doesn't sound like shit and goes about twice as loud.

I might even get round to installing the other drivers for the graphics and such sometime.

So I want to be able to run 2 instances of firefox on my computer.  One is going to be through a normal connection and the other is going to be run through a proxy by tunneling via SSH in putty to my server.  Is there a way to have two different instances open like that every time?

I can obviously open two windows, but would changing the connection settings in one window affect the other?  And even if I did that and it worked, I dont want to have to manually do that every time, I want one to automatically connect normally and the other to connect via proxy.

Any ideas?
