You really think you look hip in a blazer and jeans? It looks like you're trying to not try to look cool. It's the same as teased "bed head" hair. It's one thing to wake up and have hair like that. It's another to spend 20 minutes getting your hair to look like that. To me it just comes off as trying too hard. In fact wearing a nice sweater or v-neck with jeans looks a lot classier. Throw on some Rockports and you are good to go.

I just call it like I see it. If I'm going out to a semi-formal place, jeans and a nice sweater with my Rockport boat shoes is what I'll rock. Every time I see a dude in a blazer and jeans I cringe.

The other day I had dark blue jeans, a light creamish/beige (that's not the really right colour but I can't describe it) suit jacket or "blazer" if you want and a dark navy shirt, and 4 different people complemented me on my clothes that day. Jus sayin is all...

The hair thing you just described does sound quite douchearrific though.

Black Jeans + Black blazer works great imo.
