Why is the UK such a fucking ignorant country?

This just pisses me off so much.

For the past few years, all my applications to Banks, Jobs and the sort have always created problems that don't happen to other people.

Why?

Because I have a Belgian passport.

Funny thing is, that shouldn't stop ANYTHING from being processed just the same as a British passport, because BRITS ARE PART OF THE EU.

How many times do I have to shout down the phone at some ignorant bastard asking me for my Visa because I have a Non-UK passport?
It's fucking ridiculous. Banks ask me for my Medical Health Card, bills from where I live, more photo identification.... Just because I don't have a stupid British passport.

You guys seriously need to get your heads out of your asses and realise that you abide by European laws.

I can't but agree. Free movement of workforce is one of the cornerstones of the EU, there should be little to no difference in bureaucracy between a citizen and a non-citizen of a country if both countries are in the Union.

Irish passports aren't usually a problem because they are Irish. But any other EU passport causes problems.

My job asked me for my passport first.

They are like..... "This is a non-UK passport, so I am going to have to ask you for your VISA and bills of where you reside etc etc etc".

I breathe slowly at this point, and repeat again and again

"This is a EU passport, I am entitled to work anywhere in the EU without a VISA or extra details".

The retards don't seem to understand what that is. They see a foreign passport and automatically think VISA. Stupid fucks.

Why should I go to Belgium if I don't like it? Britain should fucking start abiding by EU laws.

I meant, that that was the first form of identity they asked for. They also suggest others, the fact still remains that they should be accepting my passport without hesitation.
