Had to stop watching i was laughing so hard... Is this video from comedy central...lol?
Nobody believes you anymore BO... you say one thing and do the opposite...
The stimulus has been a failure and a huge waste of money... not fooling anyone anymore
Credit markets have opened up...haha...
Creating jobs... haha
Have you checked the unemployment figures Mr President?
Your popularity is falling daily... repeats of CSI get higher ratings than your primetime specials...
Wonder what his speeches will be like in 6 more months... ?
Oh yeah... Cash for Clunkers... It ran out of money in 4 days... Now they just added 2 billion more dollars of our tax money...
That's 2 billion over budget in 1 week... Govt run healthcare should be a breeze...

Not only that, but there was a story that some people were buying a lexus with the cash for clunker deal. Now, does someone who can afford a Lexus need a 4500 dollar credit? Fucking joke. nObama is such a massive failure.
Says conservative bloggers. If your stimulus has failed, you guys are the first.[TUF]Catbox wrote:

You're in the worst fucking recession since the Dust Bowls. It's a good job you aren't at 15 or worse.Credit markets have opened up...haha...

Have you checked the unemployment figures Mr President?
Like it does for every presidentYour popularity is falling daily...
And?repeats of CSI get higher ratings than your primetime specials...
Why is this relevant and what are you implying?Wonder what his speeches will be like in 6 more months... ?
If you're trying to imply that he's lost his speechwriting ability in six months then you're outta your mind.
And you guys would just sit on the sidelines, do absolutely nothing except cut taxes on people who wouldn't use the extra money, and then say "Hay guiz at least our deficit is smaller!" (which it probably wouldn't be)Oh yeah... Cash for Clunkers... It ran out of money in 4 days... Now they just added 2 billion more dollars of our tax money...

The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

If we can assume that government run healthcare would be a bad thing due to how quickly we throw more and more money at it, then I suppose we need to cut spending on the military too, since we're throwing more and more money at that too.
Granted, the same could be said for Social Security.
It's funny to me how selective people are about perceiving government waste. They typically only criticize the sectors they disagree with, rather than looking at the big picture and seeing the waste in every department.

I was actually thinking how we ought to cut a lot of military spending out the other day. It's not cheap to maintain a large, standing army that's still ready to fight the Cold War.Turquoise wrote:

how about cutting 80 mill to fine arts ..... theres a start
Pretty much. Although blind patriotism and paranoia usually prevent that from happening (as well as defense lobbying).DesertFox- wrote:

Why not cut both? End ALL arts spending and cut the military spending in half.SEREMAKER wrote:

We're not getting attacked by the established militaries of countries anymore, though. They know America can fuck their shit up on a battlefield, so those who wish to do us harm are practically forced to do quick, small attacks if they've got any brains.SEREMAKER wrote:

I would reconstruct the budget for the military but I wouldn't cut it --- we need better technology for bomb sniffing at borders and ports --- we need better armour that it lighter weight and more mobileTurquoise wrote:

I would cut off buying more raptors and divert it too joint strike fighters <- thats the 1st thing I would do
but I'm biased and I would actual up the budget
I say we cut those juicy govt contracts. ya that's right. That sure won't happen.
It won't happen because that would financially kill a lot of people here in some way. (By some people I mean their company or their parents company, USA ofc)SEREMAKER wrote:

healthcare for everyone would be awesome... I hate to thing of anyone suffering or not able to get care...
but the govt will fuck up healthcare beyond belief and possibly take down the economy with it... 85 percent of the US is happy with
their healthcare... out of the 47 million unisured....12 million are illegal... 15-20 million make 50k a year plus and choose not to have healthcare
9 million are eligible and they aren't enrolled... That leaves about 9 million truly uninsured... Let's figure out a way to get the 9 million insured...
And not roll the dice on some wild pie in the sky govt ruined healthcare... The US mail system is beyond screwed up... VA hospitals are horrible
Medicare/Medicaid are bankrupt... And why doesn't anyone in the govt target the waste in healthcare and the ludicrous lawsuits that make doctors have to have ridiculous levels of insurance... And can anyone answer how we will reduce costs by adding 47 million people to a healthcare program? I look forward to the town hall meetings for all the vacationing represntatives... I imagin they might get an earful...

what you described sort of of happened here, the hospitals ended up being run by managers, and not doctors. as a result the NHS went shite.

us defense budget for 2009 = 515 billion
it's hilarious how people quibble over the scraps.
Lets cut all spending out everywhere just to make sure nobody has a job. It's the fair thing to do..lolTurquoise wrote:

Well, here is a question. If it is the governments responsibility for health care (according to some), then why not just give everyone a house for free also? Shouldn't everyone have somewhere to live also? And no, I don't mean ghetto housing, I mean homes. Real homes in suburbia.
that would be utopian. Money for nuthin', get yer Chicks for Free.Red Forman wrote:

liberals would love it!!, There are no bounds to the generosity liberals possess when spending other peoples money.Red Forman wrote:

Yes there is. It's called hyper inflation.
Nice little town hall meeting
